Business intelligence (BI) is the ability of an organization to collect, maintains, and organise data. This produces large amounts of information that can help develop new opportunities. Identifying these opportunities, and implementing an effective strategy, can provide a competitive market advantage and long-term stability.
Unless you measure something you don't know if it is getting better or worse. You can't manage for improvement if you don't measure to see what is getting better and what isn't.
If you are measuring something that is not adding any value then why do you need to do it? Keep things simple. Only measure what is important to your organisation and to your customers.
